This is such a fun and delicious recipe that you’ll probably want to make for your family and friends. The crispy duck is reminiscent of mochi that you might find in Asian restaurants. This dish is just perfect for brunch or as a meal for dinner. Ingredients:

[Text]: You can use a duck that you’ve cooked in the oven, and in the microwave, or buy a frozen duck, but if you don’t want to use a frozen duck, it’s easy to make them fresh.

to make a whole crispy duck, you’ll need: duck breasts, duck fat, duck jowls, duck skin, duck bones, duck skin and fat, ginger, garlic, scallions, salt, pepper, Chinese five-spice powder, Chinese five-spice powder, thyme, thyme, chili flakes, cilantro, and a dry rub mixture. For the duck breasts, I start by trimming them down so they are even. Then I butterfly them and remove the rind. I season the breasts with salt and pepper, and then I rub them with the dry rub mixture. I let this sit for at least 30 minutes. Next, I melt the duck fat and bring it to a medium heat. Add the duck jowls and cook them, flipping once, until they are deep golden brown. I transfer the duck to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let it cool.
