August 6th is National Beer Day. This holiday celebrates the beverage that the country is most famous for. The national pizza day is June 10th. Many people make a ritual out of celebrating these holidays, which makes the days even more special.

This year, national pizza day falls on June 9th. To celebrate this holiday, people nationwide will have the opportunity to get a free pie or slice from a participating pizza restaurant. On August 11, 2011, the results were in: Americans had sipped the most beer in 30 years. It’s a figure that was confirmed by the newly released figures from the National Alcohol Beverage Control Association. Those numbers showed a 30-year high in total beer sales at $153 billion. That number represents a 12 percent jump from the year before.

National Beer and Pizza Day is on June 26th. It was first established in 2009 as a fun, promotion-free, rare day to celebrate the relationship between beer and pizza. Today it is celebrated as the one day of the year where people can eat pizza and drink beer, in their community and across the world.

National Beer and Pizza Day is on February 15. In 1783, Congress passed the law that established the first National Beer Day. In 1896, it was changed to National Pizza Day. Of course, the first day for beer was on St. Patrick’s Day, but that’s when it was declared a holiday. It wasn’t until 1995 that beer was given the distinction of a national holiday.

However, in 1970, a restaurant opened in Australia and is believed to be the first pizza pizza restaurant in the entire world. The first pizza pizza in the US was sold by California Pizza Kitchen in California. In 1986, the chain was named Pizza Hut. By 2015, the chain was serving up more than 30 million pizzas every year.
