Add the Sauce
This recipe comes from a family friend who calls her chicken a “crockpot chicken” because it is cooked low and slow in a ceramic crock pot. It’s a quick, easy, and delicious dinner that makes use of all your chicken parts, even the bones. This chicken works in any chicken recipe that calls for a sauce, so you can use it in tacos, tacos, tacos, or tacos. If you’re going to make this recipe, you’ll want to make a few extra chicken breasts than you would normally make, because this is a large recipe. If you only make half of it, you won’t have a chicken and sauce left over for your tacos. The sauce is typically the most difficult part of this recipe, so you’ll want to have everything else ready to go so you don’t have to worry about it while you make the sauce.
The Dish
Can you believe it? This Tuscan Chicken Crockpot Recipe is one of my absolute favorites! I made it last night and it is absolutely delicious. It is packed with vegetables, and full of meat flavor. You really can’t tell it’s made in the slow cooker! If you’re looking for a recipe that is going to be extremely healthy for you, this is your recipe!
Remove the Sauce
Start by preparing the marinade, then mix in the chopped tomatoes and tomatoes with the oregano, red pepper flakes and garlic, the oregano, red pepper flakes and garlic. Mix well, and allow to sit in the refrigerator for about an hour. This will allow all of the flavors to mingle. While you are waiting, you can start on the chicken. This dish is very forgiving, so it is best to taste as you go. The chickens are done when the internal temperature is 165 degrees Fahrenheit. This will take about an hour and a half. In the meantime, you can start the creamy garlic sauce. I like to use a crock pot because it makes it easy to cook the whole meal without having to stand over it. Simply turn the crock pot on low and let it cook all day while you are away. When you come home, all you have to do is add the sauce and the chicken to the pot.
How to Make the Dish
Tuscany is the home of the award winning Tuscan Chicken Crockpot. The dish is the perfect example of how the local cuisine is influenced by Italian food. Also, it is the perfect recipe to make for the Tuscan lifestyle, the rolling hills, the farm land and the pristine lakes. I wish I lived in Tuscany, this is my inspiration for Italian food. I am in love with the wine and the stories of the culture and the beauty of the land. We get to meet their grandparents, their cousins, their kids and there is always a lot of laughter. They share their food and then we share ours and it’s not a big deal. A delicious dish to make and share.
