There are many misconceptions about porcelain and other ceramic ware. Porcelain does not contain any chemicals that would harm the environment. Because porcelain dishes are highly durable, they can last for generations. Porcelain dishes are also very easy to clean, and they won’t stain or leave scratches. Additionally, porcelain dishes are very easy to maintain. They’re low maintenance and won’t require a lot of extra care. Because porcelain is very hard, it’s also very scratch resistant. Porcelain dishes won’t chip, peel, or crack. They’re just as safe as any other type of pot or pan.

Dangers of BPA
BPA, or bisphenol-A, is found in plastic bottles and other products, and is released when they are heated or boiled. It is found in many plastics, including canned foods and children’s toys. Studies have linked BPA to several health risks. Children exposed to it at a young age may have an increased risk of thyroid problems. It has been linked to birth defects and damage to the brain and nerve system. BPA can also cause male sexual dysfunction in humans.
How to eliminate BPA
BPA is an organic compound that can be found in plastic food and beverage containers. It is not safe to use when heated, so it is best to avoid plastic containers such as Tupperware, Ziploc, and other similar plastic containers when storing food. For some people, this chemical can be released from the plastic into the food or drink, and cause health problems such as decreased thyroid function, reproductive issues, and changes in fetal development. To eliminate this BPA, use glass and stainless steel containers for storage, or try homemade alternatives such as aluminum foil or coconut milk containers.
Good alternatives for BPA
The campaign against BPA is growing. Studies have shown that BPA can disrupt hormones and may lead to prostate, breast, and ovarian cancers. It has also been found to increase the risks of pre-term delivery and low birth weight. Of course, BPA isn’t the only harmful chemical used to make plastic containers. The amount of phthalates in some types of plastic is now being regulated. As mentioned in previous posts, phthalates can disrupt hormones and have harmful effects on the reproductive system. Phthalates are also toxic to your liver. Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) are a class of chemicals that can cause damage to the liver and thyroid. Luckily, a number of plastics have now been made without these toxic chemicals. There are several good alternatives to BPA and other harmful plastics. When buying food containers, look for the No. 7 symbols on the bottom or side of the container. The No. 7 symbol means that the container has been certified to be BPA-free. You can also look for BPA-free glass or stainless steel containers. You should also check that the contents of the container have a less toxic alternative to BPA. The most common alternative to BPA is BPS. BPS is another toxic chemical, but there are safer alternatives. You can look for No. 7 marks on BPS containers to be sure they’re BPS-free. Also, look for BPS-free products at
