To make homemade fries in an air fryer, follow these three steps. Start by preheating the air fryer for 30 minutes. Once the air fryer has preheated, pour the potatoes into the air fryer. Turn the air fryer on and let the potatoes cook for about five minutes. The air fryer will flip the fries, so make sure to watch them carefully. Once the fries are browned, they are ready to eat.
Tips for healthy homemade fries
Healthy Fries – Ingredients:
Cooking oil (any will do, I use canola)
Potatoes
Salt and pepper
Yeast (optional)
How to:
1. Pour cooking oil into the bottom of the air fryer. If you want to add a flavor, stir in the seasoning with the oil. You can use different types of seasoning here. You can add garlic and parsley if you want.
2. Peel the potatoes and cut into 1″ strips
3. Add the potatoes to the air fryer. (Cover if you want) Air fry for 30 minutes or until the potatoes are cooked through. I usually take the air fryer out while it cooks, as it can be difficult to cook at high temperature when its in there.
4. Top with salt and pepper
5. Garnish with a small amount of fresh parsley or parsley flakes
6. Top with butter
Tips:
-You can cook potatoes longer, but they lose their texture
-You can also have some seasoning on the potatoes before you put them in the air fryer
-Parsley flakes are a good garnish
