Cooking tofu in a pan on the stove is one of the most basic methods of preparing tofu. This method is not only useful for making tofu, but it is also an essential step for marinating it or making other dishes with tofu as an ingredient. To make tofu on the stove, all you need is some tofu and a pan. To get the best results with this method, the tofu needs to be pressed in order to remove some of the moisture that causes it to turn brown quickly. A well-prepared pan, a stock pot or a pressure cooker can be used for this purpose.
Which Method Of Cooking
The quickest and easiest way to cook tofu is to place the tofu into a baking dish and bake it in the oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 minutes. You can also cover the tofu with paper towels and let it sit on the counter for 20-30 minutes to let the excess moisture drain off. The other common methods of cooking tofu are to cook it in a pan, or simply sauteing it with soy sauce. One of the easiest ways to cook tofu is to soak it in soy sauce for 10-15 minutes. Then you can wrap it in a clean kitchen towel and place it in a pan and add some more soy sauce. You can cook the tofu until the soy sauce is absorbed into the tofu. You can also bake the tofu at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 10-15 minutes.

Cleaning Tofu
So far, so good. Now, you’re probably wondering how to clean tofu. For the most part, you can just place tofu into the pot and let it sit. However, if you want to remove all of the excess water, you’ll need to drain it. Put the tofu onto a plate and let it drain for a few minutes. The extra water will then be able to run through the plate and into the sink.
Basic Cooking Method
If you’re new to tofu, here are some basic cooking instructions. Put tofu in a large, deep bowl. Fill bowl with enough water to cover the top of the bowl. Add about 1 tsp of baking soda. Mix well. Add 1/4 tsp salt. Bring the water to a boil. Lower heat. Cover the bowl with a dish towel and let sit until the liquid is nearly gone. Drain off the water. This process is called “blanching.” Add more baking soda if necessary. Drain again. Let tofu cool. Then, slice the tofu into small squares. The final thickness should be just thinner than the width of your knife. Repeat with more baking soda if necessary. These are called “drain.” Pour the block of tofu into a shallow bowl. In a large, dry skillet or frying pan, heat some oil. Fry the tofu in the oil over medium-high heat for about 2 to 3 minutes. Flip tofu over and fry other side.
