A word of caution
When you get home at lunchtime, your tummy will be telling you to eat. Your stomach will be trying to convince you to eat, but it’s not your decision to make. You are going to take what your tummy says and eat what you are given. As tempting as it is to ignore your tummy, if you force it to eat, you will end up with a lot of bloat. The best thing to do is listen to your stomach, eat until you’re satisfied and then stop. The last thing you want is to look like you’re about to explode because you are starving. If your tummy is still trying to convince you to eat even after you’ve stopped, you will end up snacking throughout the day.
Variations and recipes
It is a common misconception that salmon needs to be baked in the oven. The moist juicy meat of salmon is ideally suited for grilling or pan-frying, as it is cooked in the optimal way. Using the oven takes away this advantage, as it cooks the salmon dry. Salmon fillets are also more expensive than other types of fish fillets.

Cook and bake fillet in oven
I personally love salmon, but am always looking for new ways to cook it. This easy way to cook salmon is to bake it in the oven. First, make sure to clean the salmon fillet. Rinse the salmon under cold water and pat it dry with a paper towel. Then, place it in the center of a baking dish with 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter and a couple of sprigs of fresh thyme. Season the salmon by adding salt and pepper to taste. For the bake, place it in the oven at 400 F (200 C). Bake for 20 minutes before turning the oven down to 350 F (175 C) and baking for 10 minutes more. When the salmon is cooked, it will be flaky and delicious. This method is particularly good for baking fish that is thinner than salmon, such as scallops and shrimp. It is also great for cooking the fish to medium-rare, which makes it perfect for salmon burgers.
