Cooking Chicken for Shredding
To make chicken easier to shred, place it in a strainer, and dust off the excess chicken fat. Then, rinse the chicken with cold water, drain and pat dry. Cut the chicken into 3-inch pieces. Then, place the chicken in a bowl, and add 2 to 3 tablespoons of lemon juice, a pinch of salt, and 1/2 teaspoon pepper. Mix well. Place the chicken in a large pan, and cook on medium heat for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. The chicken should be cooked, and no longer pink inside. Drain the liquid, and remove the chicken. Discard the liquid. Then, place the chicken in a colander, and let stand for 10 minutes. This allows the fat to drain from the chicken. Pat the chicken dry with paper towels. Preheat a shredder to the highest setting. Then, attach the chicken to the shredder, and shred the chicken.

Cut the breasts into 1 inch chunks. Shred the breasts and place in the container.
How to know how to prepare chicken?
Generally, you should remove the skin from your chicken before cooking. It contains the most fat and calories, and if you like the skin, that can be a plus. However, some people enjoy the texture and taste of crispy skin, which is why there is a market for skinless chicken. Cook chicken with the skin on for better color and texture, but if you don’t want to deal with it, just get chicken with the skin removed. When you’re shredding the chicken, start by shredding it vertically and then horizontally. When shredding, make sure the food processor is plugged in and the blades are spinning. This will make the chicken less likely to stick. While the machine is running, press the button in the middle to turn the chicken. Once the shredding is done, drain any excess water from the chicken.
