Pizza is a staple food for most American families and school lunches all over the world. Pizza can be prepared in many different ways. For the purpose of this challenge, we will show you how to make a simple pizza, which can feed 30 hungry children for just $.05!
Digging into the pizza
In this task you will be provided with 30 pizzas, each with the same ingredients, but in different amounts. You will have to determine which pizzas should be ordered. Some people will want to make sure they have a pizza with more cheese and pepperoni than the other pizzas, while others may want to make sure they have a pizza with more tomato sauce. Your goal is to figure out which pizza is the best one, and therefore the most cost-effective.
Pizzas are expensive
You probably have a question in your mind “how many pizzas for 30 people?”. But first of all you need to determine whether your team will order pizza or not. Then you need to plan the pizza’s flavor and size. But what if you don’t plan the order well? If you don’t know which pizza to order, you’ll have a hard time. Since the pizza is usually ordered, it’s better to order the pizzas early. But the delivery time may take long if you order too many pizzas. So, it is difficult to determine the right quantity of the order.
Choosing the pizza
If you’re having a party, how many pizzas do you need? It turns out that the answer is 30. A study of 100 men and women asked them to estimate how many pizzas they needed for 30 people. The researchers found that their estimates were slightly higher than the actual number. So, 30 pizzas is the most you’re likely to need for a party.

Prepping the pizzas
It’s easy to overlook how many pizza toppings are needed for 30 people, but with 30 pizzas, you need to do some counting. Each pizza includes eight pieces of pepperoni, two pieces of cheese, and some onions. You also need a few pieces of pepperoni, cheese, and onions for personal use. This means you need a total of 36 slices of pepperoni, and 48 slices of cheese. You’ll also need about 20 slices of onion.
