Pizza Dough

I prefer using 100% bottled water for my pizza dough, but you can also use tap water. For the salt, use kosher salt because it is a mineral. I prefer using Diamond kosher salt for making pizza crust because it’s a little lighter and can be used to season other dishes. For the yeast, you can use any active dry yeast or instant yeast. I prefer using instant yeast, but you can use active dry yeast. To make the yeast, mix 1 teaspoon of dry yeast with 1/4 cup of water and let it sit for about 5 to 10 minutes. Mix it up to form a thick paste and let it sit for about 15 minutes. Then add a teaspoon of the salt to the yeast and mix to incorporate. It may take a little while to get to that stage. While the yeast is sitting, we will make our pizza dough. In a large bowl, mix together 1 cup of flour, 1 tablespoon of oil, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1/2 cup of water. You should add 1 tablespoon of oil, but you can do it all at once if you prefer
