Cooking Time

Cooking time for 4 pounds of pork loin is about 3 to 4 hours. More specifically, you’ll need to cook for about 3 hours and 20 minutes. The exact time depends on the thickness of the pork loin. The thickest slices of pork loin take the longest, but for a lot of recipes, you want to cook the pork loin long enough to be tender. You should also make sure that the slices are cooked through. To do this, you’ll need to test the pork loin several times during the cooking process. You’ll be able to tell when the pork loin is cooked through if it loses its pinkish-red color. The pork loin should be ready to serve once you reach this point. You can also check the temperature of the pork loin with a thermometer. Ideally, the pork loin should reach 165 degrees F (74 degrees C) to be safe to eat. If it’s not cooked through, you’ll need to cook it for a little longer. You can also see if the pork loin is finished cooking by looking at the thermometer’s needle. The pork loin will have reached 165 degrees F if the needle is pointing straight down. If the needle points straight up, then the pork loin isn’t done and you’ll need to cook it for another 5 to 10 minutes.

In the freezer

Frozen pork chops have a long shelf life, which means you can have delicious pork chops on hand to enjoy any time. If you’re looking to use pork chops in your next recipe, look for fresh pork chops or frozen pork chops.
