I love salmon, and I would love for it to be in my fridge more often, but its shelf life is very short. It turns out that you can only keep salmon for a couple of days in the fridge, after which it starts to deteriorate. Fortunately, you can easily make salmon last a lot longer, by poaching it in the oven. This is a great recipe that I used when I needed to cook salmon for a dinner party with a bunch of people. I served it with a side of white beans.
How To Cook Salmon For Dinner
You can cook salmon in many different ways, and there are a lot of recipes out there. It’s important to note that any recipe you find will be specific to the type of salmon you’re cooking, so you’ll have to adjust accordingly. Below are some great recipes for salmon.
How To Grill A Salmon
Cook salmon at high heat for 2 minutes per side. Remove the fish from the grill and cover with foil. Prepare remaining ingredients for the sauce. Place salmon back on the grill and cook for another 2 minutes on each side. Drizzle the sauce over the salmon. Enjoy!
How To Season Salmon
This salmon has been lightly dusted with a mixture of Old Bay, garlic salt, onion powder, and lemon pepper. Once all of the ingredients have been applied, the salmon is placed in the oven for 12 to 15 minutes. This time will allow the flavors to seep into the salmon. It is important to use the correct amount of seasoning to avoid the salmon tasting bitter. For added flavor, salt and lemon should be sprinkled on top of the salmon.
How long Should a Roasted Salmon Be Cooked?
Roasted salmon is one of the best types of fish to eat. It’s full of protein, low in fat, and high in omega-3 fatty acids. However, one of the main reasons to enjoy a roasted salmon dish is the perfectly cooked fish that you get. You may have heard that salmon should be cooked to about 145 degrees F. This temperature may sound high, but cooking salmon to this temperature will ensure that it retains its full flavor and adds a nice sear to the fish. However, if you want to enjoy salmon with less fat, the actual temperature will be lower.
How To Skin a Salmon
Skinning a salmon is the easiest way to cook and fillet a fish. In order to do this, you’ll first need to remove the head and tail. With a knife, make a small incision along the side of the salmon. Use your fingers to gently lift the skin from the side of the fish. This is where the fat layer is located. Flip the salmon over, and using the knife, make a few cuts on the bottom side to help lift the skin. Remove the head and tail, and remove the skin.
