Salmon & Cedar Planks
For this recipe, you’re going to need some salmon and a cedar plank. First, you’ll need to get your salmon fillet. For this, you’ll need a cedar plank, a couple of old, dry newspapers, and some string. Take your salmon, fold in half lengthwise, and tie with a piece of string. Make sure to fold the tail end of the fish over to make sure the fish is secure. The fish should be kept in place as it cooks, so it can’t move around too much. Place the cedar plank on top of the newspaper and lay the string on top of the cedar plank. Place the fish on top of the string, and cover the plank with a paper towel. Place in the refrigerator for 8 hours, and then remove it from the refrigerator and place it on the barbecue for 8-10 minutes.

Here’s a question: How long do you cook salmon on a cedar plank? The answer is about 20 minutes, but you may want to cook it longer. This is because a cedar plank can be quite salty, and the salt in the salmon can make it taste better. One of the best ways to remove the excess salt from the salmon is to place it in a warm, wet towel. Wait for a few minutes, and then pat the salmon dry. You can now refrigerate it or serve it.
