2. Put the chicken breast into the slow cooker
3. Add a few spices to the chicken breast
4. Cook the chicken breast for about 4 hours
5. Turn the slow cooker to high and cook for an additional 1-2 hours
6. Remove the chicken breast from the slow cooker and let it cool down for at least 30 minutes before serving
How to Bake a Chicken Breast in the Oven
What you’re about to see will probably seem to make no sense at all. But if you watch closely, and pay attention to what you’re doing, you’ll begin to realize it’s actually quite clever. Your first step is to open your oven and set it to 350°F. Next, place a pan on the rack of the oven. Now place the chicken breast in the middle of the pan. If you place the chicken breast skin-side down, the skin will cook evenly and create a crispier exterior. If you place it skin-side up, the skin will turn slightly darker. Either way, the goal is to keep it warm and moist so it won’t dry out. Now, turn your oven off. The chicken will be done when it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F. To take the chicken out, you’ll need to loosen the skin. Place a small, sharp knife into the middle of the breast, so it can pierce the skin and pull it back. Once you’ve loosened the skin, place the chicken on a cutting board and cover it with a towel so it doesn’t dry out. You’ll want to remove the bone, which will yield the most juice.
