I will be going out of town for work on Friday, so I have to start planning my lunches for the week. I came across a recipe for breaded chicken on Pinterest and I thought it looked pretty good. I decided to give it a try.
Air Frying
If you love to make your own breaded chicken, but you’re short on time, air frying might be a great option for you. The advantage of air frying is that you can quickly and easily make large amounts of breaded chicken without needing to do a lot of prep work. It’s best to look for a flat surface, such as a cutting board or a sheet pan, that’s larger than your air fryer. Air fryers tend to be about 8″ wide, so you’ll want to make sure the surface you put the chicken on is at least 12″. Once you get your chicken cooked, it’s time to coat it with the breadcrumbs. Make sure you use gluten free breadcrumbs. When you’re done, you’ll want to let the chicken rest for 10 minutes, then toss it in the air fryer for 6-8 minutes at 400 degrees F. If you want, you can toss some sautéed vegetables on top of the chicken for an extra touch.
Quick Breaded Chicken
With the availability of good-quality pre-made breadcrumbs in the freezer, it’s hard to imagine the merits of making your own. And, if you have kids who often ask you to make dinner, you know how tedious it can be to prep ahead. If you want to avoid all that trouble, however, you can make your own breaded chicken in an air fryer in a couple of minutes. You’ll need:
Crispy Chicken Recipe
The following recipe is from one of my favorite blogs and I wanted to share with you. The key is using the right oil. This one is a really nice, crunchy texture. You’ll need chicken pieces, breaded chicken pieces, salt, flour, bread crumbs, dry mustard, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, and cayenne pepper. Start by rinsing the chicken pieces and pat them dry with paper towels. For the breading, mix together the salt, flour, bread crumbs, and spices. If the spices are very moist, you might want to toast them a bit first. Once they are mixed together, gently toss them onto a plate. Lay the chicken pieces on top of the breading and roll them gently to press and make sure the pieces are covered with the breading. Shake them off the plate onto a plate or bowl with a paper towel underneath to absorb excess moisture. Set the breaded chicken aside until you are ready to use them. Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees. In a large bowl, whisk together the oil, melted butter, and seasonings. Place the chicken pieces in the air fryer basket. Cook the chicken for 15 minutes. Carefully remove the basket and check the temperature. If the temperature is between 325 and 350 degrees, cook for 5 more minutes. Turn the chicken pieces over and cook for another 5 minutes. Remove from the air fryer and place the cooked
