Christmas Cookie Recipe
Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year. It’s full of family, fun and plenty of food and treats. It’s also an opportunity to reflect on what’s important in life. I have a tradition that I started when my family and I first moved to Indiana. We made our own cookie recipe from scratch. It’s not easy to do, and it’s definitely not cheap. But it is so worth it. I love that we get to celebrate with family and friends, and that we are truly involved in the process. This year we are going to have our annual holiday cookie exchange. I made a gluten-free, whole foods version of my mom’s Christmas Cookie recipe.

How to Make Whole Foods Cookies
Since these are Whole Foods cookies, they won’t fall under the usual category of cookies. They are similar to brownies, though, so you may want to call them that instead. In addition to being delicious, the cookies are also nutritious. All-natural ingredients such as dates, almond flour, applesauce, cinnamon, vanilla and oatmeal add texture, taste, and other nutrients. The cookies are just as good in the summer as they are in the winter, so make them whenever you like. You’ll need a few ingredients and a few minutes to get them ready.
