Throw ups usually happen when you have consumed too much alcohol. Alcohol is an antiseptic and can cause you to not feel well. When you throw up, the acid in your stomach starts to eat away at your stomach lining. This is what causes the color of your vomit to be green, and it is an indication that your body is trying to clear your system.
What Is Green Throw Up?
Green throw up is the result of consuming too many acid-based foods. Foods such as tomatoes, citrus fruits, beans, berries, cheese, and lettuce are among the foods that can cause a reaction. Acid reflux can cause food to come back up through the esophagus, which can result in green vomit. The exact color is dependent on the pH of the vomit, which is typically 7.0-7.2. The color will range from light green to a bright emerald green. If it is darker, it may be blood.
