Google held its annual all hands meeting last week and, as expected, the company’s SVP of Products, Mario Queiroz, held a surprise presentation. Instead of talking about software and product launches, Mario introduced a new food: pizza. Google celebrated the pizza day by sending a pizza to each employee with an accompanying explanation.
Google’s Earth Day Activities and Facts
For their Earth Day celebrations this year, Google has been promoting a campaign of facts about pizza and a virtual scavenger hunt. They’ve also been encouraging people to find out what time it is using their Google Earth application. Google Earth is a great tool that anyone can use. This program allows people to explore the Earth, or parts of it, using imagery from satellites. People can even create their own 3D environments with the help of Google Earth. For Earth Day, Google Earth has been helping people figure out what time it is around the world using the time zones map. They’ve also been sharing some interesting facts about pizza. A recent article on Wired Magazine quoted food writer David Lebovitz as saying “Pizza may very well be the most beloved food in the world. That’s why Google wants to celebrate the true, humble heart of pizza.”
What is Google’s Earth Day
Google is celebrating Earth Day with the development of Pizza day. The Earth day is a day to learn and to promote awareness about the environment. On Earth Day, Google will try to raise awareness about how people and companies can make the world a better place. Google is encouraging people to sign up for the Google Earth Day and to go online to try the Google Earth Day tool. It will create a Google Map with data from all the Earth Day events.

Happy National Pizza Day! While the history of pizza is difficult to trace, it’s generally believed that the origin of pizza can be found in Ancient Rome. However, there is also a debate between whether pizza was invented in Naples, or actually in Rome. Regardless of its origin, pizza has certainly gained a large following and has become a staple part of the United States diet. Pizza has become a cultural icon and there are so many ways to enjoy pizza. In addition to being a delicious food, pizza is also a symbol of friendship and the concept of “family”. It has even spawned its own holiday, National Pizza Day.
The world’s favourite pizza recipe
Since 1948, the top pizza place in Italy, Luigi Zanotti, has been baking the pizza that millions of people around the world are familiar with. Pizzeria Napoletana is known for its deep dish, Neapolitan style pizza. The Neapolitan is made with a dough that contains less yeast and is stretched by hand with only moderate pressure, resulting in a thinner, stretchier crust. The pizza is topped with tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese, usually with some additional toppings, such as mushrooms, meatballs, or anchovies. According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), the standard commercial pizza is deep-dish at its thickest and less than 12 inches in diameter. The USDA defines deep-dish as pizza topping reaching at least half-way to the rim.

In 2015, Google celebrated its 40th birthday by offering pizza to every employee. They even delivered it to some of the employees’ homes. Google considers itself a “diversity” company and so wanted to celebrate their history. While Google still does not offer an unlimited amount of pizza, it does offer employees options for a personal pizza delivery. It was previously referred to as Google’s “baked potato diet,” as pizza was offered to the employees with less than a year of work experience. Google even celebrated its 15th birthday with pizza, and they’ve done the same thing on three other occasions as well. The company has also been known to deliver donuts to employees.
