Cortisol is a stress hormone and can slow down the digestion process. This can lead to bloating and other digestive issues. When you eat, your stomach sends a message to your brain saying “hey, we’re ready to digest!” This allows your digestive system to start working again.

When you eat too much, you can often experience bloat, also known as gas. This occurs because your stomach gets too full. This can lead to excess gas and an uncomfortable feeling in your stomach. Bloating and gas are common after you have a large meal, especially if you overeat. There is no particular age or gender that is more susceptible to experiencing bloat and gas. There are several reasons why you might experience bloat and gas.

Indigestion can be caused by many different things, including a food allergy, food sensitivities, or a diet too high in fat. Digestive issues also include problems with the liver, gallbladder, or pancreas.
