Your period may be showing you when you should be eating. This is because you may be experiencing hormone fluctuations. This is the time when your body releases two important hormones, oestrogen and progesterone. These hormones are responsible for regulating menstruation. If you notice that you’re feeling hungry or not feeling hungry at the right times, it may be your body trying to balance the hormones. Sometimes this can lead to cravings for specific foods. Food cravings can also be a sign that you’re not getting the right nutrients, which is usually the case when you’re not eating regularly.

Some common period-related eating disorders are bulimia, binge eating and purging, and food aversion. Bulimia occurs when someone binges on food and then deliberately and repeatedly throws up. Purging may involve any type of behaviour to get rid of the calories from the food. Food aversion is when someone gets a food or food group completely out of their diet. These symptoms are only symptoms of an eating disorder. Eating disorders can be a major cause of weight gain and other health problems, so it is important to get treatment.
Nausea On Periods
Periods can be extremely unpleasant. They usually come with awful cramps, and sometimes even some nausea. A great deal of the time, the only cure for this is to eat. There is a reason why we call period cramps “periods”. This symptom occurs on your menstrual cycle, the point in your cycle when your uterine lining is being shed. This is why you’re so hungry during that time, your body needs to build up more lining before you can actually start menstruating. It’s just a natural occurrence, and there is nothing you can do to prevent it. You may be wondering though, how does this nausea affect you during periods? Well, some women experience a lot of nausea during their periods, but it can be uncomfortable. One reason for this is that a lot of the time you’re still digesting the food you had in the morning, which is why you’re so hungry. The other main reason for nausea during periods is the hormones. During this time, there are a lot of different hormone levels that are fluctuating. This can make it difficult to eat when you need to, and it can make you feel nauseous. Most of the time it should subside once your period is over. However, it can also be a good idea to try to eat healthy foods during this time. This will make you feel better in the long run.
