However, the definition of whole grains also includes any food that has more than 1.5 grams of dietary fiber per serving. Additionally, if a food is processed, such as toasted or cracked, then it can be considered whole grain. There are also whole grain products that have been enriched with nutrients, such as iron, thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, and folic acid.
