Cuts of chicken
A chicken cut is the part of a bird that has been removed. It is most commonly a cut of leg meat, but it can also be breast meat, thigh meat, or anything else. Cutting a whole chicken down the middle is called splitting. Most of the time you’ll want to split a chicken down the middle to allow you to remove each half. It’s okay to eat the back half without removing the wing, and you can use the carcass for stock.
Ground Chicken
Anyone can cook whole cut chicken, but it is better to buy a pre-cut or pre-ground chicken if you are on a budget. The best way to go about cooking a whole cut chicken is to put it in a pan with about an inch of oil and seasonings. Turn the heat to medium and simmer, until the chicken is done and no longer pink in the middle. You can serve whole cut chicken with roasted vegetables and whole grain rice or with bread and a green salad.

Some of the ways include removing the bones, and preparing it as a stock. You can also boil or roast it. This makes it easier to eat and gives it a more delicious flavor.
Chicken Soup with Potatoes
When you cook chicken soup, you will notice the broth will get darker as you go. The darkening is a natural change to the soup. As the base ingredient starts to get darker, the nutrients in the chicken start to break down. This causes the nutrients to leach out and the darkened color. This is why chicken soup gets darker as you cook it. If you want to keep the broth dark colored, you can add some carrots or other vegetables to it.
