Researchers at the University of California in Berkeley have found that the Leaning Tower of Pisa was 125cm tall in 1992. That means that in the last 15 years, the tower has shrunk to 109cm. How could the tower have shrunk by 35cm? It’s actually due to the changing climate. Over the years, the bottom of the tower has been exposed to rainfall. As the rain permeates the plaster, the tower has started to lean more and more.

The Clavicle Lounge is a bar, restaurant, and live music venue. The venue is located on Ave U in Minneapolis and is owned by Jon Langston, who started the venue with a goal to provide better music and a more intimate atmosphere. Langston originally opened The Storefront in Minneapolis in 1991 with the goal of curating the best indie acts. It was an early success, hosting several local bands such as The Replacements and Nirvana. After the success of The Storefront, Langston began opening more and more locations, including venues such as Bar Italia in St Paul and Pilsen in Chicago. After taking a step back from the business, Langston turned his focus back to the Clavicle Lounge. Langston partnered with Winona Wong to help with the design of the Clavicle Lounge and was later joined by Jon St. Onge. Langston and Wong have both been involved in the production of some of the most successful shows in the venue, including Buzzcocks and The Replacements. Langston is currently in the process of producing the Minnesota Jazz Festival, which will run August 16-18, 2019 in Minneapolis.
