However, the basic structure of a pizza is a thin crust and a sauce base topped with cheese and/or toppings. The sauce base can be any type of pizza sauce such as pizza sauce, ranch or marinara sauce, or even spaghetti sauce. Next, there should be one or more layers of cheese. These layers can be as thin as cheese on a pizza crust or thick and goog. The cheese can also be white or in many different colors, depending on the type of pizza. Next, the top of the pizza should be sprinkled with various types of toppings. These can be vegetables, meats, etc.

If you think pizza is only for eating, you are very mistaken. Even though pizza originated in Italy, many people would say it is an American invention. Pizza was named after “pizza”, a Roman dish that is very similar to what we know as pizza. Pizza was originally made from bread, not dough, and was topped with food, like olive oil, olives, and anchovies.
