It’s pretty close to equal amounts of protein you’d get from beef, pork, eggs, and milk. It also gives you a lot of bone-building calcium and vitamin D. Chickens are also fairly low in fat. A 3.5 pound chicken has around 2 grams of fat. You can compare that to pork, which has 8.5 grams of fat in 3.5 pounds, or beef, which has 10.5 grams of fat in 3.5 pounds. So, although you may not want to think about it, it’s better to eat a chicken breast than some of the other meats in our list.
