There are many different types of tequila. This includes silver, gold, reposado, añejo, and extra añejo. A few of the brands of tequila that you might find in a bar are Patron, Jose Cuervo, Patron XO, Tres Generaciones, Sauza, and Silver Patron. You can’t just make a margarita with any type of tequila. Some types of tequila are more suited for drinking than others. For example, gold tequila is a very light-bodied tequila that’s meant for mixing drinks with a wide variety of ingredients.
