Sometimes people ask me why I don’t eat meat. Is it to help the environment? To eat lower on the food chain? Or maybe I’m trying to become a vegan? So what can’t you eat as a vegetarian? After all, if you don’t eat animal products, why can’t you eat anything? That’s what I’ve always been told. But guess what? There’s actually quite a list of foods you can’t eat as a vegetarian.

Can You Go Vegetarian?

There are many reasons to go vegetarian. Aside from the obvious health benefits of reducing your intake of meat, you may also want to consider the environment. Vegetarian diets are believed to be the best option for the environment. Vegetarian diets reduce the amount of meat we produce, and the average meat eater is responsible for more than 40 pounds of waste every year. Meat takes up a large amount of land and water. When livestock are farmed, they consume large amounts of resources, including topsoil, water and energy. So, why not go vegetarian?

How To Start Being A Vegetarian?

People sometimes ask me how I got started being vegetarian. For me, it all started when I was in middle school. A friend of mine was a vegetarian, and I got into the habit of eating meat for my meals. While it wasn’t particularly tasty, it just felt normal to eat meat. I’ve always found it strange that something so simple could feel normal, but the habit stuck. Over the years, I gradually started to realize that eating meat was causing harm to animals and the environment. It was eating animals that I was eating. I was happy that I realized this. And once I was vegetarian, I felt like I could accomplish all of my other goals. I’m now a vegan as well. I eat a vegetarian diet. I eat a vegan diet. It doesn’t really matter what diet I’m on, as long as I’m not eating any animal products. I’m not a vegan due to religious beliefs. But even if you believe in God, there’s no reason to eat animals.

Do Vegetarians Have Any Disadvantages?

The main disadvantage of being a vegetarian is that you may need to prepare your food differently. Vegetarian food is more expensive. But, this is because meat substitutes are usually more expensive. Vegetarians also have to be careful when they are on holiday. While you can make good choices about your food abroad, they may not have the same choices. Because vegetarian food is not as familiar to people in the US, the options may be limited. But, it can be made easier by talking to a local chef and being prepared to go to grocery stores which carry vegetarian items. In some cases, a vegetarian may be able to find their own vegetables. Vegetarians may also have the option of sharing food.
