If you’re cooking meat at home, there’s no reason to season it with salt, pepper, or any of those other culinary cliches. If you are cooking it with a higher fat content, I recommend you put your focus on salt, herbs, and spices. I am not sure if all of this is necessary, but I have found that the flavor works better with these additives.

Typically, a good rule of thumb is to only season your beef after cooking it. This will allow you to season it to your tastes and add the things you love. Also, be sure to season it to your own tastes. If you are a big spice lover, you might want to add more spice than someone who doesn’t enjoy spicy food. Don’t be afraid to experiment. Remember, cooking is all about being creative and adding your own unique tastes.
