What To Do With Leftover Spinach Dip
If you’ve ever made dip, you may be wondering what to do with leftover dip. Dip can be an excellent appetizer for parties and holidays. Or it can be the perfect snack to take to work or to your next friends. Dip is also an easy and quick appetizer to make. Dip can be made with various types of vegetables and proteins, but my favorite dip is spinach dip.
How to Use Spinach Dip
Spinach dip is one of those foods that is sometimes better when leftovers. I like to make it on the weekend, and keep it in the fridge for a couple of days. The texture and flavor will continue to improve after it has been sitting. This is a great side dish for when I have a party. You can use it in a pasta dish, or as a dip for chips or crackers. It also works well in soups. You can make it with whatever toppings you’d like. Experiment with whatever you have on hand, and see what works for you.
Tips for Homemade Spinach Dip
I don’t have a microwave at home so I like to make my spinach dip with an oven. You can make a bunch of it ahead of time so you’ll always have a good recipe. This also gives you the opportunity to add in a few extra ingredients like artichoke hearts or olives. To make the dip, heat up some oil in a pan and add in the spinach leaves and a little salt and pepper. Let them cook on low heat until wilted and add in the garlic and parsley. You can add some lemon for extra flavor if you’d like. For toppings, you can add in some almonds, feta cheese, or any other kind of cheese that you prefer. To serve, use a slice of bread for dipping.
Do the Children Love It?
As a mom, it can be really hard to decide what to do with all the leftovers. It’s like a case of, “what’s left?” I never had the problem with spinach dip, which is kind of a black hole when it comes to food storage. If you have any kind of leftover spinach dip, you know that you have to get creative with it. Personally, I’m a big fan of Frito pie, and I was thinking of making some kind of Frito pie for the children to use with their leftover spinach dip. However, I was worried that they wouldn’t enjoy it, as they don’t like a lot of cheese. The other thing that was in the fridge that I had planned to use for some kind of dip was hummus, which I never really liked. But as it turns out, my kids really loved it, and they have been begging me to make more.
