How to find the right roasting temperature
If you’re looking to find the right temperature for a roast pork loin, you can always just use your instincts. However, there are a few other ways to tell how it’s done. The best way is to use an instant-read thermometer. It will give you an accurate reading of the temperature of the meat and tell you if it’s done or not. Start at around 180 F / 80 C. If you like your meat cooked faster, stick it in for a shorter amount of time. For example, if you’d like the meat to be medium, start it at around 185 F / 85 C. For slow cooking, stick it in for a longer time. Start at around 205 F / 95 C.
Make sure your oven is preheated
Now that the oven is preheated, you can start cooking. Start with the pork loin by removing it from the package. Pat it dry with paper towel, if necessary. Next, rub the pork loin all over with the seasoning packet. Make sure to rub the seasoning into the meat as evenly as possible. Place the pork loin in the center of the oven, and cook for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Turn the temperature down to 250°F, and cook for 2 hours. Turn the temperature back up to 350°F, and cook for 20 minutes. Take the pork loin out of the oven, and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
