The world’s biggest pizza is the Fantoccia which is a pizza from Però and held the title for many years. With a diameter of 72 inches (182 cm), it’s a monstrous pizza that easily dwarfs most traditional Italian pizzas. The Fantoccia consists of 40,00 to 50,000 pieces of dough filled with cheese and topped with chili, ham, prosciutto, truffles, and a variety of other toppings. The pizza takes more than 10 hours to make. The next biggest pizza is the Neopolitan, which has a diameter of 65.5 inches (167 cm). The Neopolitan is topped with tomato sauce, Parmesan cheese, and either rucola, basil, or garlic.
The History Of Pizzas
Pizza is said to be the food of the gods. This is because it has been around for a long time and the only reason it hasn’t made its way to every continent is due to a lack of native pizzas. But pizza started off as a way to preserve food before people had refrigerators, and before it became common to eat and drink in the same location. It started out in Rome when the army would carry food back to Rome for soldiers. These “pilas” were cooked on the spot, and stored in a bain marie or bread pan for transport. But it was the Italo-Americans who came up with the modern pizza, where dough was stretched, baked, and topped with a tomato sauce. Now pizza has come into its own as a great food. No matter where you live, you can find a pizza place that sells good pizza.
