When you first wake up in the morning, you’ll probably notice that your stomach hurts, but what causes this pain, and can you do anything to stop it? Here’s how to help your stomach feel better.
Common Causes of Stomach Pain
As mentioned above, stomach pain can be a symptom of many different types of pain. The stomach is located just below the diaphragm. The diaphragm is the muscle that separates your chest cavity and your abdomen. If there is a problem in the stomach, you may experience pain in the lower abdomen.
Bloating – Common Symptoms and How to Stop it
Bloating can be a very uncomfortable and frustrating symptom for those who suffer from it. Not only does it make you feel uncomfortable, but it can also be painful. While there are a number of different reasons for experiencing bloating, there are a few effective ways to relieve the symptoms and stop it from happening in the future. Some of the more common reasons for experiencing bloating include the following:
1. Poor digestion.
• Foods that are high in fiber can help reduce bloating, as can water-based drinks. Fibers are a main part of the digestive system and can cause small movements to occur in the small intestine. This can help stimulate the peristaltic movement in the small intestine, which will help to naturally stimulate digestion and move waste out of the body. As well, foods that are high in protein and fat can cause the body to store water. This is because the food is being broken down and digested and the body is trying to store as much water as possible in the digestive system.
2. Eating foods that are too hot or too cold.
• Foods that are too hot or too cold can cause you to experience bloating, because this is generally the point when they start to enter the digestive system and make their way through your stomach.
3. Stress.
• Stress can cause bloat because it can cause your body to swell. When this occurs, the blood is forced to travel through your entire body, including your digestive system
Inflammation – Common Symptoms and Treatments
Inflammation is when your body is fighting an infection, usually in response to an infection in your digestive tract. This is known as an “infectious” inflammation because it’s caused by an infection. This is a fairly common, natural response to an infection. Inflammation can be caused by a number of things, from an ulcer in your stomach to a virus in your nose. In either case, it’s the body’s way of defending itself by sending white blood cells to the affected area. This response is meant to help your body get rid of the infection, but sometimes this response is too much. Over time, the body may just send a lot of inflammation to the area. Some people develop a chronic condition called inflammatory bowel disease when the inflammation goes on too long. Inflammation can also cause pain in the affected area. Depending on the kind of inflammation, this pain can be severe. There are two types of inflammation: acute and chronic. Acute inflammation is short-lived and generally resolves over a short period of time. Acute inflammation can be caused by acute illness, such as a virus or an injury. Chronic inflammation is when the inflammation lasts longer than about a month. Chronic inflammation can be caused by anything from an autoimmune disease to an ulcer in your stomach.
Stomach Ache
Your stomach can be very painful. This is something that can happen to anyone and everyone. Sometimes the cause of stomachache may be obvious but other times the cause may be more obscure. There are two main categories of stomachache: acid and non-acid. Acidity or Gastric Reflux or heartburn can be painful when it happens. Although acid reflux can be painful for some, it isn’t usually severe and requires no specific treatment.
Heartburn – Causes and Treatments
Heartburn, also known as gastroesophageal reflux disease, is a common condition where food or stomach acid backs up into the esophagus and sometimes causes the throat to burn. The acid can burn the inner linings of the esophagus and throat causing an irritated condition.
