You should be able to see him doing this if he is aware of what is going on. Be patient as this may take a while. The cat may also react by rubbing against the bandage which could get you into an accident if you aren’t careful. This may mean that the cat isn’t comfortable being around you. You may be able to use soothing music to calm the cat down. You can also try to coax the cat out of the room where the cat was when the incident happened. Cats may not seem to mind being in small boxes or under covers, but they are terrified of loud noises and bright lights. You may be able to relax the cat by moving the cat around in the room.
