Burps can be a normal part of a digestive process. However, some people find that burping is bothersome and can make a person feel unwell. Burping can happen in a variety of situations, including while eating. Usually, when you burp, you will feel a strong pressure in your stomach. As the burp passes, it can make an unpleasant noise and emit unpleasant odors. Burping usually happens when stomach acid moves through the esophagus and causes the muscles in the esophagus to contract and release air.
Sour Burps and Milk
Sour burps are a result of the interaction between the acidic fluid of the stomach and milk. When you drink milk, the acidic fluid from your stomach reacts with the milk, and can result in a sour burp.
What Can You Do?
Burp, or a belch is an involuntary forceful expulsion of air from the digestive system that is caused by the stretch and pressure of the stomach and esophagus. Burps that are caused by eating spicy or fatty foods or smelling or tasting a strong odor or taste are not considered true burps. While you can control when you burp, there is no known cure for the common burp. In this video we’ll discuss what causes burps and the best ways to avoid them.
What Is a Sunken Stomach?
One of the most common signs of stomach acid overproduction is a sunken stomach. This is caused by too much stomach acid and is often accompanied by heartburn. Sunken stomachs are often visible, but it’s important to note that they are a symptom of a problem, not a disease. In some cases, it’s necessary to use medications to reduce the acid production. If you have a sunken stomach, the first thing you should do is discuss the problem with your doctor.
Sour Burps And Allergy
A sour burp can happen after eating a sour food, or after eating some caffeine. These foods include citrus, tomatoes, and foods made with vinegar, including pickles and some condiments. An allergy to something, such as nuts, could also cause a sour burp. To prevent it, try not to eat foods containing these ingredients and talk to your doctor if you’re having frequent or serious sour burps.
Sour Burps Are Normal
The same muscles that help us swallow and breathe also control our esophagus. When our esophagus contracts, food comes down from the mouth and pushes out of our mouth. As the food passes, it produces gas and moisture. Our bodies are equipped with natural bacteria that helps break down food. This includes our own gastrointestinal bacteria, and bacteria that is in other foods and in our surroundings. When we swallow, we can actually do a bit of gas production and burp to help move out the gas and moisture that are produced. This also helps push out the food that we have just swallowed. This is why sour burps are a part of normal.
