In a 2012 interview with Los Angeles Magazine, Eric Sheflin, the President and CEO of In-N-Out, said that he wakes up at 4 a.m. every day and looks at what’s going on in the country. In the interview, Sheflin said: “In the morning, I check my e-mail, see what’s going on in the world. If something is really bad, I’ll go to the office and kind of take it in. It keeps me on edge, so when we’re opening a new restaurant, it’s an adrenaline rush.”
