pecans are a great snack, but it can be hard to keep them fresh when you have them in the house. This recipe is a delicious way to keep pecans fresh for weeks.

Can I Make My Own Candied Pecans?

Thanks to a flood of cookbooks, published recipes and content on the internet, it is possible to make your own candied pecans at home. If you’re looking for something special to take to a party or bake, candied pecans are a great choice. They are a classic sweet and salty treat with a touch of the exotic. You can make your own using three ingredients: pecans, sugar and vanilla. With a pinch of salt, you can add another dimension to the flavor.

How Do I Make Them?

This recipe is very easy to make and only requires a few ingredients. The first thing to do is to make a sugar syrup. To do this, you will need to mix equal parts sugar and water in a small saucepan. Next, you will want to bring the mixture to a boil. Once the mixture is boiling, you will want to continue to boil the mixture for five to seven minutes. Once the syrup has boiled, remove the syrup from the stove and allow it to cool. Once the syrup has cooled, you will want to mix it with pecans and a small amount of butter. Continue to mix the mixture, which will help the syrup and nuts to stick together. Once the mixture has cooled, you will then want to place it into a container with a lid. You will then want to sprinkle the top of the mixture with additional sugar. This can be done by simply using a spoon to sprinkle the mixture with sugar. Allow the mixture to sit for 24 hours before eating. You can store the mixture in a refrigerator or freezer. This will ensure that you have candied pecans for up to four months.

Canned Pecans

This recipe is just for fun. I was planning to make something a little different for Christmas, but I was inspired by Pinterest. I saw a picture of candied pecans in a jar and immediately knew I had to try to make it myself. I don’t remember where I saw this, but if I had to guess, I think it was from one of those websites where you can find hundreds of recipes. I definitely didn’t pay attention to where I saw it. When I make candied pecans, I add more sugar to the original recipe. For this recipe, I added ¼ cup sugar and ⅓ cup brown sugar. This is a great snack to bring along on a picnic or even as an appetizer at a party. You can use any type of pecan you like, but I recommend using the sweetest ones you can find. Just be sure to buy them in a can or jar rather than a bag.
