Start by putting a whole ear of corn on a metal cookie sheet or oven-safe metal dish. You can also do this with two ears of corn if you’d like. You’ll want to make sure the corn is not touching each other, because that can cause the corn to steam rather than roast. Put the oven rack on the lowest setting. The lower the oven temperature, the longer the cooking time will be. You’ll want to be checking on the corn every 10 minutes and turning the oven on if it looks like it’s starting to brown too much. This can be a good way to cook corn on the stove top as well. The method is similar except you’ll use a pot or pan that has a lid, and you’ll heat the pot in a saucepan on a stove.
