How to Preheat Your Oven

You will need: 1 large oven. 1 Oven Safe dish with a lid. 1 Small spatula (I used a spatula but you can use your hand) 1 pair of oven mitts or oven gloves. 1 whole chicken. 1 Garlic press. 1 baking sheet. For the chicken, you will need: 1 chicken, 2 lbs. 2 whole eggs 1 large onion, sliced 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon pepper 1/2 teaspoon rosemary 1/2 teaspoon thyme 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon paprika 1/2 teaspoon pepper 1 teaspoon coarse sea salt 1 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika 1 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano 1 1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic 1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder 1 1/2 teaspoons ancho chili powder 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1/2 teaspoon onion powder 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper For the garlic press: You will need: 2 cloves of garlic 2 pieces of butter 1 whole head of garlic 1 blender OR food processor 1 salt The first thing you will need to do is preheat your oven to 400 F or 200 C. Freezing the Chicken

I have made a whole chicken in the past. The technique is very simple. My chicken uses a whole chicken breast, but any chicken will work. I usually use my frozen chicken from Walmart, so I just make sure to thaw the chicken before using. If you don’t have frozen chicken, you can make this recipe with just a whole chicken breast.

How to Bake a Whole Chicken

I am going to show you how to bake a whole chicken in the oven. Whole chickens are usually pretty cheap, so this will be a quick and easy recipe. First, preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Once your oven is at the desired temperature, pull out your chicken. If you’re baking a leg, simply pull it off of the bone and pop the rest of the chicken in the oven. If you are baking the whole chicken, this is when you will put it back together again. Then, place your chicken on a baking sheet. The goal is to form a cavity in the middle of the chicken. You can do this by cutting a few slits in the chicken. Place your chicken breast down and then push a butter knife in at the neck. Then, place the breast up and continue to push the butter knife in. I cut down the length of the breast and then up the length of the breast to form a cavity. It is important to fill the cavity with butter to allow the chicken to cook evenly. Then, place the rest of the chicken in the oven. Roast for about 1 hour, or until a thermometer reads 170 degrees F when inserted into the thickest part of the breast. I usually like to test my chicken by pulling off the thigh and then checking it with the thermometer. I can usually tell if the chicken is done after that. I then allow the chicken to rest for 10-15 minutes before carving and serving.

How to Wash the Chicken
