What Is a Cat Obsession?
An indoor cat can be a happy cat. But there are times when your cat wants to be outside. An indoor cat may go outside to pee, catch an insect, or to play and exercise. However, sometimes indoor cats want to be outside for much longer. This is called a cat obsession. If you think your cat is obsessing, there are some things you can do. Keep in mind that it is normal for indoor cats to want to go outside. It’s just part of being a cat. However, if your cat is going out of its way to be outside, this can be a sign that there is something wrong.
How to get a cat to stop going outside
I have an indoor cat, and every time I leave the house, she goes outside. I’ve tried ignoring her, trying to keep her away from the door, and even taking her outside for the occasional bathroom break. She just won’t stop. I don’t think she knows how to read human language and I’m worried she’s going to get into something dangerous. What can I do?

This is the most common problem I’m asked about as a cat breeder. Many people are concerned about their indoor cats and their desire to go outside. Some will even be afraid that their cats will go outside or get into the garden or leave the house. There is a couple of things you can do to help these cats. First, make sure your cat has good access to the outdoors. This means there is a door that they can easily get through and there are no other obstructions. Make sure you clean out any litter that your cat may lay and often use. A cleaner litter box also helps to create a better environment for your cat to live in. When you do get them outside, make sure you have some safe, enclosed space to put your cat in. Cats are natural hunters and they will be curious. Make sure you have some safe places to put them in while you’re outside. You can also put some toys or catnip out and make sure they see it when they go out.
How to get rid of cat obsession
When my cats, Harry and Merlin, were little, they would only go out of the house if they were wearing their leashes. Nowadays, they have developed an obsession with going out to play. My cats only leave the house if I get their leashes on and I walk with them. They are fully aware that they are wearing a leash, but they don’t care. It would be like me constantly telling my cats, “don’t eat that piece of fruit because it’s poisonous.” In this instance, the cats don’t care about the fruit, they just want to go outside to play. I’m not entirely sure why my cats are so obsessed with going outside, but I will do anything to get them to play inside again. I have tried being more lenient, like giving them more time to go outside, but it doesn’t seem to work. I will also be giving them both pedicures, and I’ve noticed that this seems to work sometimes. Merlin loves pedicures, he’s my first pedicure baby. I will also be getting my cats a professional groomer who will try to make them beautiful again. I would also love to get them an outdoor area with a different perspective, like a garden.
Is My Cat Coming Down With An Illness?
It’s normal for cats to want to go out, but if they begin going out to get sick, it’s a warning sign that something is wrong. As cats cannot communicate with humans by words, this can make it hard to figure out what they are trying to tell us. Signs that your cat may be coming down with an illness include:
* Their fur or coat seems to be falling out
* They are scratching excessively, or not at all
* They are scratching a lot but don’t seem to be itchy
* They have a change in appetite
* They are scratching at their eyes, nose, ears, mouth, and paws
* They are unusually lethargic
* They have a change in how they interact with you
* They refuse to drink their water
If your cat displays these behaviors, it’s important that you get them into a vet as soon as possible. Even if you don’t think they are ill, but they are having symptoms, it’s important to take them to the vet. They may need to be tested to see if they have a disease such as feline leukemia or feline immunodeficiency virus.
