How to Make Authentic Mexican Street Tacos

The taste of tacos is one of those things you can’t really describe. It’s a mix of all of the different spices and flavors that you’d normally expect to find on an ordinary taco. Instructions
Ingredients:
•1 pound ground beef
•1 pound ground pork
•½ cup chopped green onions
•½ cup chopped bell peppers
•3 tablespoons corn starch
•2 tablespoons chili powder
•1 tablespoon salt
•1 teaspoon pepper
•1 tablespoon cumin
•1 teaspoon dried oregano
•2 teaspoons garlic powder
•2 teaspoons onion powder
•1 ½ teaspoons cayenne pepper
•1 teaspoon lime juice
•1 large can Rotel tomatoes
•1 small can green chilis
•1 cup of water
•6 flour tortillas
•Sour cream
•Guacamole
•Grilled cheese
Instructions:
1. Cook ground beef and pork with bell peppers, green onions and a small amount of the water in a large skillet over high heat.
2. Remove from heat, mix in the cumin, chili powder, salt, pepper, oregano, garlic, and onion powders and pour into a large bowl.
3. Add 3 tablespoons of corn starch, and lime juice to the bowl. Stir and allow to cool for 30 minutes.
4. Add tomato, chilis, and Rotel tomatoes. Mix together.
5. Heat 3 tablespoons of water in a large skillet, and pour in the mixture from step 2. Stir constantly until thickened, about 30 minutes.
6. Combine with other ingredients and allow to cool. Serve on tortillas and garn
The Idea
It’s not that complicated, really. I’m a fan of anything that can go on a taco, and I especially love street tacos. These are relatively easy to make, requiring just a few ingredients and no complicated recipes. The ingredients can be found at the local grocery store, and most of the work can be done a day or two ahead of time.

First, start by chopping the onions. Then, mix the flour and cornmeal. Next, start frying the onions in a pan. Once they’re cooked, mix them in with the flour mixture. Lastly, pour the can of tomatoes on top. Then, mix it all up. Cover and let it sit in the fridge for 30 minutes before serving.
