What are McDonald’s Paying Employees?
McDonald’s are one of the most iconic and recognizable brands around the world, and are widely considered to be the “gold standard” of fast food. The company is recognized for its consistent high quality food and huge selection of menu items. McDonald’s operates over 2,300 restaurants in over 100 countries and employs over 1.5 million people around the world. In January 2018, McDonald’s announced that it is paying higher wages to its US employees, starting from April 1st. The company’s pay increases will take effect in its restaurants across the US, Canada and Puerto Rico. In announcing the increase, CEO Steve Easterbrook said, “We have said for some time that we are paying more to our people and that we need to pay more to grow and to succeed. We believe that what we are doing is fair and makes good business sense.” The new pay increases will be on top of the $1 billion that McDonald’s has already invested in its US operations over the past 3 years. According to company data, the total compensation of employees of McDonald’s in the US will be increasing by about 8 percent in 2018. In other words, employees will be paid an average of $11.08 an hour, up from $10.07 in 2017. The new pay rates for US employees will be $13.50 an hour for all hourly employees. Workers are also eligible for up to $1,000 in employee bonuses

What Do They Do for the Company?
For one, they are responsible for the success of the McDonald’s restaurants and locations around the world. In fact, McDonald’s restaurants generate $19.3 billion in annual sales. And they keep costs down. In fact, McDonald’s spends only 1% of its revenues on restaurants, advertising, and marketing. They keep costs down by using the same design for every store, keeping the labor hours low, and keeping the menu the same, for as long as possible. McDonald’s also uses automation to make the ordering process easier for customers, which allows them to spend more time with customers. They also use automation to help their employees. In fact, one of the McDonald’s restaurants in Britain has a robot that collects the money, prepares the food, and delivers it to the customer. It’s certainly a nice change from old, human cashiers.
What Does McDonald’s Pay?
We’ve already established that McDonald’s is making the biggest investment in a quarter century. But here’s some of what’s going to happen. By 2025, McDonald’s is estimated to have more than 3.5 million franchisees and more than 20,000 restaurant-within-a-restaurant stores. As of right now, McDonald’s expects to grow its workforce and pay its workers by 2027. That’s more than three years before the first worker starts earning a $15 minimum wage. By 2025, all of its stores will be using new technology like touchscreen ordering, and self-ordering kiosks. All of this will save McDonald’s $2 billion a year.
When McDonald’s Paid Employees and What They Did
McDonald’s has been in the news a lot lately, and it all started with some very surprising news. A woman named Adia Robinson posted a video on Facebook claiming that McDonald’s paid her husband to be a spokesman for the fast food company. Adia posted the video saying that her husband was paid $250,000 to promote the fast food company, which sounds pretty crazy. However, McDonald’s has an unusual policy where it will pay a limited number of people to appear in their commercials. So, McDonald’s apparently approached Adia’s husband and told him that he was one of the lucky ones to be paid to promote McDonald’s. Not only did McDonald’s pay Adia’s husband, but they also paid him a bonus of around $100,000.
