In the past, fasting has been used to experience God or the gods, but fasting is also used in the secular world. For example, some people fast in order to improve their mental and physical health. Some people try to become more fit and healthy by eliminating any food and drinking only water or other nutritional drinks. However, fasting can also have negative effects. You may feel nauseated or even experience headaches or dizziness. You may also feel irritable or tired. It is also possible to lose weight.
