How to Make a Elf on the Shelf
The elf on the shelf is a fun, yet creepy toy that you can make with your kids. All you need is an elf costume, some chocolate, and some milk chocolate (or white chocolate). For the costume, you’ll need a white shirt, black pants, a green or red pajama, and a white hat. To make the elf, melt your chocolate. Then put your chocolate into a candy mold. Make sure the mold has a small opening in the bottom. This will be the elf’s head. Pour the melted chocolate into the mold and place the mold in the refrigerator for 20-25 minutes. Once the chocolate is firm, take your mold out of the refrigerator. Next, put your chocolate on a plate and pour a small amount of water on top. The water will harden the chocolate. Once the chocolate is hard, pull your elf out of the mold and place him in a place where your kids can see him. To decorate, melt some milk chocolate and pour it onto the back of the elf.
