How to Make Your Own Pork Jerky
If you are like me, you love pork jerky. My family loves it, and my friends and coworkers all love it. I can often find myself walking through the freezer aisle of the grocery store looking for pork jerky. For me, pork jerky is an easy way to add protein to my diet. But there is one problem, you cannot find any good natural pork jerky at the grocery store. The jerky companies want to charge a lot of money for these jerky treats. So, I decided to make my own jerky. Now, it is possible to make jerky without adding many, if any, artificial ingredients. So, let’s get started.
Smoking Beef Short Ribs on a Grill
In a small bowl, combine the Worcestershire sauce, water and sugar. Stir to dissolve the sugar. Place the ribs in a plastic bag and pour the marinade into the bag. Press out as much air as possible. Seal the bag. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours. Take the ribs out of the marinade. Place the ribs in a grill basket. Grill over a medium-high heat, covered with the lid, for 15 to 20 minutes, turning the ribs over every 5 minutes. Remove from the grill. Take the ribs out of the grill and place on a wire rack. Let stand until completely cool. Brush the ribs with the remaining marinade and place back on the grill. Cook for 15 to 20 minutes, turning every 5 minutes. Serve immediately.
