How To Season Refried Beans From A Can?

Refried beans are one of the easiest and quickest meals you can make. And they’re delicious. I’m a big fan of refried beans and I like to add my own flavors. I’ve added garlic, taco seasoning, and chipotle seasoning and I’m going to show you how I make them from a can.

What Ingredients Should You Use?

To make them more flavourful, add cayenne pepper, crushed red chilli, paprika, garlic, or onions to the mix. For a more traditional Mexican flavour, add tomato, sweetcorn or green chilli. Dried beans are pretty bland, so add spices to make the dish more flavourful. If you don’t have any spices, just add salt to taste and some ground cumin or paprika.

Refried Beans

Refried beans are beans that have been mashed into a paste, fried in oil, and then mashed again. You can easily make refried beans from a can. All you need is the dry beans and the canned bean mixture. 1. Place the beans into a large pot. 2. Add enough water so that it covers the beans by 1-2 inches. 3. Bring the beans to a boil, then cover the pot, turn the heat down to a simmer, and cook for 1 hour. 4. Drain the beans, then add the bean mixture back to the pot. 5. Repeat Steps 1 through 4 until the bean mixture reaches desired consistency. 6. Use a potato masher to mash the beans into a paste. 7. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
