And while it’s a great choice, it’s also pretty expensive. Turkey burgers are one of our favorite alternatives to our beloved chicken burger. They’re easy to make and they’re also super versatile. You can use them to make a turkey burger sandwich or even a turkey burger bowl. They’re great when you’re trying to keep your weekly grocery budget to a minimum.
Ground Turkey
Ground turkey is a great, lean protein option for a healthy lunch or dinner. Making turkey burgers is a cinch. Simply buy ground turkey, place it in a bowl, and mix it with your favorite spices. You can also add in your favorite toppings. Turkey burgers are a great way to make meal time a breeze.
What Ingredients are Needed
To make turkey burgers, you will need a turkey breast, a whole egg, and some spices. First you will want to remove the meat from the breast of the turkey and season it with salt and pepper. If you want more of a turkey burger flavor, you can place a whole egg in a pan with water. Put the turkey in the water and let it cook for about 10 minutes, then remove it from the heat and let it cool for about 5 minutes. Let the egg cool and then break it open and scoop the white out of it. Add the egg white to the cooled breast. Add the salt, pepper, and any spices to taste. Next, cut the breast into strips and form it into burger patties. Add 1/4 cup of breadcrumbs to the burger mixture, and you have a good turkey burger.
