What a fun way to drink your favorite ice cream flavors! Sonic slushes combine the best of both worlds—ice cream and slushy drinks—all in a fun, svelte way. And to make the whole experience even better, you can make a special Sonic slush at home with the help of an ice cream machine. Not only is the machine fun to use, it can easily be a great money saver by making homemade ice cream for less than it would cost to buy store bought.
Do You Need Sonic Slushes?
Sonic slushes are a popular beverage on road trips, tailgating, and any time you are driving somewhere. It’s something that everyone wants to be able to make themselves. However, most of the recipes available online are actually quite complicated. This makes it hard to make at home because you don’t know what you’re missing. Also, since the process requires multiple ingredients, it makes it harder to travel with.
What’s Sonic Slushes?
Sonic slushes are the latest beverage trend. According to The Guardian, they are “a cocktail that is frozen, stirred, and then handed over a steamy glass.” Sonic slushes were first seen on the Jolyon Higgins-led Food Cravings podcast. This is the first time they’ve been featured in an app. They are based on a slushy cocktail that is stirred with ice and topped with a mixture of soda and other ingredients. They are typically made with canned drinks and mixers, including the following: Coca-Cola, Minute Maid, and a recent update added 7 Up.
How to Make Sonic Slushes
Sonic slushes, also known as a “sonic froth,” are basically just a smoothie with a different texture. They come in many different flavors. Some of the most common flavors are pina colada, mango, strawberry and watermelon. To make a sonic slush, you will need a blender and a fruity flavor. If you want a more adult flavor, add a shot of vodka, or another liquor. A shot is one ounce. A good addition is to add the fruit of the choice to the blender along with the fruity flavor, plus the vodka. The fruit can be chopped into small pieces, or frozen in your freezer for a few minutes before adding. You can even freeze berries and add the frozen berries to the blender. Be careful, if you freeze them too long, the berries can get too hard to blend, so make sure to use frozen berries. To blend, place the fruity flavor and vodka into the blender and blend until the liquid is smooth. Add the fruit and blend again. You should have a thick smoothie with a small amount of froth on the top. Add the desired amount of fruit or frozen fruit to your desired portion size.
Do Sonic Slushes Have Sugar?
The world of slushes is getting a little more crowded, with the recent entry of Sonar. The sonar slush comes in three flavors, including a vanilla, strawberry, and lemon. They all contain the same combination of ingredients: espresso coffee, milk, simple syrup, and vanilla extract. This means that you can have your espresso and sweet it up. You can customize the exact flavor of each slush by choosing from a variety of different colored syrup bottles.
What to Use Instead of Sonic Slushes
We all know how expensive Sonic slushes are! What you need to make a Sonic slush is a blender, ice cube trays, and a small saucepan. Take the blender and pour in some water. Add the ice cubes and blend until a nice slush forms. Pour this slush into a glass and then add some saucepan or any other sauce you want. Make sure you use a pan that holds liquid, otherwise you will ruin your ice cubes.
