Steps to Follow

You can also use a slow cooker instead of a crock pot to make this sloppy joes recipe. To start, prepare the pork. For this step, we recommend using leaner cuts of pork, such as pork tenderloin or pork loin. Remove the center portion of the pork and then cut it into thin strips. Now, place the strips in a pan and cover them with water. Heat the pork over medium-high heat. Allow the pork to simmer for 15 minutes. Drain the pork and discard the water. Now, pour the barbecue sauce over the pork. Use tongs to turn the pork around so that all sides are coated with sauce. Now, cover the pan and cook the pork for 2 to 3 hours. Remove the pork from the slow cooker and serve it with the spicy coleslaw.

For this recipe, I used 15 ounces of ground beef, which is 1 pound. Next, add the ingredients to a bowl and use your hands to mix everything together. Then, drain any excess water from the beef. After that, place the beef mixture in the bottom of the slow cooker. Then, slice the onion and add them to the top of the beef. Then, combine everything in the slow cooker and cook on low for 8 hours. This recipe is best served with biscuits.
