cooling

The donut machine doesn’t get very hot, so it can actually be used on homemade donuts that are a little too hot to eat. You’ll also need to make a few adjustments in order to be able to use it.

glaze and toppings

For our little festival we wanted to make donuts because the only other food we had was burger and hotdogs. I got all the ingredients together, but I didn’t have a recipe to make homemade donuts, so I just did a little research on Google. Here is what I used: 1 cup of melted butter, 1/2 cup of honey, 1/2 cup of milk, 3 egg yolks, and a lot of flour. I added all the ingredients together and mixed it all together. I then poured the dough onto a greased pan and baked it in a preheated oven at 350 F. During the baking process I waited to add the glaze and toppings. I added glaze to each donut and let them sit for about 10-15 minutes to dry, then I added toppings to each donut. The toppings we used were: powdered sugar, whipped cream, and sprinkles. The powdered sugar was just sugar and water mixed together and the whipped cream was from the dairy case. I didn’t want to make donuts that were too sweet so I used the whipped cream to reduce the sweetness of the glaze and sprinkles.

proofing

A donut is a fried dough that is typically made out of yeast. If you don’t have much experience with yeast dough, then this is the recipe for you.
