Directions

Ingredients: 1 3/4 cup of all purpose flour
3/4 cup of light brown sugar
1/2 tsp of salt
1/4 tsp of cinnamon
1/4 tsp of nutmeg
1 cup of water
Method:
Add all ingredients except for the water in a large mixing bowl. Mix thoroughly until you have a soft dough. Separate the dough into 5 separate balls. In a small bowl, add the water. This is just to make the icing wet so it can be easier to spread. I like to use a kitchen blow drier to make sure it’s thoroughly dry. Spread 1/4 cup of icing on the bottom of a cake pan. The cake pan I used was a 9×13 pan. Place a ball of dough in the middle of the pan. Cut dough in half to get 2 layers. Make sure the top layer is the top layer of the pan. Bake in a 400 degree oven for 15 minutes. Cool on a cooling rack. Spread remaining icing on top of the cake.

Ingredients for Icing the Cakes

Ingredients: 1 box of Cinnamon Rolls 2 Cups Powdered Sugar 1 Cup Cool Whip 1/2 Cup Light Cream 1 Cup Powdered Sugar 1 Cup Milk You can make the icing to your taste and prefer. I’ve used the basic icing recipe and added several things on my own. The powdered sugar may not be the best to use for this icing. I have always used it for the cinnamon rolls.
